This evening we rolled out of Chicago Union Station at 9:30 pm on the Lake Shore Limited train, traveling eastbound to Syracuse, New York.

Before our 11:38 a.m. train arrival into Syracuse, all the tour members experienced a breakfast in the Lake Shore Limited’s dining room.  The group traveled on an America by Rail chartered motorcoach to Montreal, where we stayed at the exquisite Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel.

We arrived at the pier at 4pm after an excellent tour of Montreal and Quebec City.  Everyone enjoyed exploring the beautiful ship (Norwegian Dawn) and feasting on the great and turf the first night!

Today, a relaxing day at sea was had by all.  Many experienced the port presentation and Scottish square dancing.  The cruise line reserved the Spinnaker Lounge just for us to enjoy group cocktail party.   Many of our people showed up and even more for the group dinner.  We dined in a private area just off the Aqua Dining room.  It was very nice!

We docked at picturesque Corner Brook.  Weather was cloudy with sprinkles, but the colors of the trees were breathtaking!  Everyone enjoyed their shore excursions.

This morning, the ship docked at Sydney, Nova Scotia.  The weather was cloudy, but thankfully no rain.  Many people took shore excursions and others wondered through the charming town and walked along the delightful board walk.  We had approximately 30 people showed up for our group dinner in the Aqua Dining room.  Today was a great day in Sydney and our night was full of music.

Today’s port was delightful Halifax.  The day stated out cloudy, a morning shower passed through, then the sun broke out and it was beautiful....high 60s!  Peggy’s Cove was the most popular shore excursion, while others enjoyed a walk through the picturesque port town and along the quaint board walk.

The tide was too low for our ship to come into port at St. John, so we had to wait an hour. While we were waiting for the tide to rise, we had a 9am group meeting regarding disembarkation.  After the meeting, we docked and it was a beautiful day.  The weather was perfect, sunny and high 60s.  It is hard to believe tomorrow is our last day on this awesome cruise ship.

Bar Harbor was just beautiful; sunny and so picture perfect!  This port was the people's favorite to wonder around.  Even though the Acadia National park was closed, it was fun to see the charming town and water front and enjoy lobster!
