January is already coming to an end and the Christmas and New Year’s decorations are all back in their bins. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner and it’s about that time to start thinking about what to get your significant others. There’s always the typical gifts of chocolates and roses, but what about giving your love something a little more memorable: a romantic weekend getaway for two! Here are some romantic getaway spots to give you some ideas:

San Francisco, California

San Francisco is one the best romantic destinations for you and your significant other with amazing views, edgy art, and adventure. Complete with a variety of amazing restaurants and cozy cafes, you’ll love the feel of San Francisco. Visit the Golden Gate Bridge or follow the other tourists to the Fisherman’s Wharf area or have a picnic in one of the beautiful parks located in San Francisco, such as the Golden Gate Park.

Maui, Hawaii

Everyone knows that Hawaii is one of the most romantic getaway spots in America, maybe on Earth. With beautiful beaches and pristine sparkling waters who could argue? Relax in the sun or join in with the local hula dancers and have the time of your life with your love. Spend Valentine’s Day eating delicious cuisine and visiting the amazing East Maui’s scenic coastline, including the world’s largest volcano, Haleakala.

Aspen, Colorado

Aspen is the perfect destination for couples that want the chance to cuddle up in the cold weather with a fireplace and good hot chocolate. Aspen has a large selection of delicious restaurants and of course tons of skiing for active couples. Spend Valentine’s Day sharing a ski lift and warming up in the glorious resorts Aspen has to offer.

Sedona, Arizona

For a more active Valentine’s Day, visit Sedona for endless hiking and exploring. Described as one of America’s most beautiful places, Sedona is complete with dramatically beautiful landscapes including the towering red rocks and jagged sandstone buttes against the almost always blue sky. Relax after a long day of hiking and take in a world renowned Sedona sunset this Valentine’s Day.

The Virgin Islands

Whether you and your partner are looking for an adventurous getaway or a tranquil retreat, the Virgin Islands has all of that and more. You can visit St. Thomas, St. John, or St. Croix, or better yet, spend a little time on all three! Each island offers something a little different: St. Thomas is known for its luxury and for its hilly, craggy horizon. St. John appeals the most to honeymooners and nature lovers with more than 7,000 acres of parkland and multiple pristine beaches. The less visited St. Croix has sugar cane plantations and rum distilleries that offer a glimpse of the past and present of the islands. Spend your Valentine’s Day soaking up some sun and treating yourself to all that The Virgin Islands have to offer.

Whether this is your first or fiftieth Valentine’s Day with your partner, you both deserve something special. Treat yourselves and have an amazing Valentine’s Day by booking a getaway and make memories that will last a lifetime!
